The moon beamed brightly upon the two who were wandering around aimlessly in the backyard. The garden gnomes hopped around, their smiles creepily growing larger as they continued to mercilessly play pranks on Whisper and Omio. Although none of those tricks have been fatal or harmful, it was still rather annoying. The sprinklers were spraying water everywhere, streams of the clear liquid flying through the entire garden.
What would they do now? Would they continue to fight these garden gnomes? It seemed like a hopeless attempt... or would they run, hoping to find somewhere to escape to? Either way, they'd better think fast or these critters'll figure something out first...

((In inclusion to what happened the previous chapter, the Gnomes still aren't cluing in to what is going on? How odd...))
Josh grabbed the end of the garden hose, and ran around the other way, when he was about to meet Whisp's end of the hose, he jumped. Otherwise, he'd get strung with the gnomes.
((I'll let you know now - if you don't make the gnomes jump, I think a slight powerplay would be in need unless you let them get tied.))

Whisper saw Josh jump over the rope and thought they'll capture the gnomes now.
((Friday Tim, Remy and I are fully avaible again!))

The plan would have been perfectly executed... if not for the one rogue Gnome. The one Gnome that had every intent to kill instead of bother. The gnome's face was chipped and carved, leaving holes to see into it's hollow head. As it moved, some plaster would occasionally fall from the gnome's wounds. It's smile was a sadistic one, all of it's wickedly pointing teeth vicously gleaming in the moonlight. Eyebrows curved downward and the wrinkles of a scrunched and crazed face were carved into the gnome. What would have been the gnome's hat was destroyed halfway down, a raging fire was held in it's place.
The gnome approached slowly from behind Josh, quietly, undetected. That is, until it pulled the chain that turned it's weapon of choice on. The blade begun spinning quickly, the teeth blasting through the air until the blurs collided into one. The powerful roar of the blade and motor sounded hungry and full of rage. Smoke began billowing upwards in dark clouds of toxin, floating towards the skies above. A sadistic and cruel laugh echoed from the gnome as it raised it's rusted chainsaw, prepared to strike.

Josh saw the sadist little gnome about ready to take him out with the chainsaw. "Oh, no you don't." He dove, and managed to get a grip on the handle well enough to lift the gnome up, pointing the chainsaw up as well. "C'mon... sputter, you heap of scrap metal!"

Whisper saw Josh and the gnome and walked a bit back to pick up the hammer he dropped. I'll smash that ugly demonic face open! he thought, what is wrong with this place, we gotta get out of here.

The gnome struggled to free the chainsaw's handle from Josh's grip, but a human is much stronger then a lawn ordament. Whisp had retrieved his hammer and was making his way over to destroy the gnome for good. The porselin could break easily enough, it wouldn't take very long.
But the earth began to shake. A low rumbled filled the area, and pieces of earth began to rip from the surface. Dirt and grass was flung into the air. A rock that had been lifted up smashed the gnomes head into pieces, leaving a headless body holding the chainsaw.
An area of the yard began to lift skyward and slant dramatically. From inside the earth sprouted a large green bud, surrounded with beautiful leaves of a lighter shade of green. The bud opened, and out popped what appeared to be a very large, very scary head atop of a stem that sprouted leaves. More pieces of the ground began to crack and massive tentacles, which were probably root tips, sprouted upward.
The roots slammed into the ground, threatening to remove the lives of the two kids.

Omio barely had enough time to get in front of Whisp and leap to remove the root as it came down upon them. "This place just doesn't give up, does it?"

This is going the wrong way, Whisper thought, he tried to keep balance and not slide away, while he were trying to defend himself from the roots with his hammer. "I hope you got a plan, because I don't!" Whisper yelled at Josh.

He shouted back. "I can't find where these roots are coming from; you?"

The roots continued to slam down on the yard and more began to spring up from the ground. At this right the entire yard will be a dense jungle in only a matter of minutes. One of the roots wrapped itself around Whisper and began dragging him upward, towards the larger plant.

Whisper slammed with his hammer on the root, "die!" He tries to get out of the root and looks around him, "I think the roots come from everywhere!" he shouted at Josh, "but I'm kind of stuck at the moment."

Josh thought he was unable to do anything until he realized the size of the roots. He traced the root's origin ((The one that's holding Whisp.)) and cut that root with the chainsaw. He also noticed a few dozen more roots nearby there. He went insane at that point. "Screw this." The motor of the chainsaw revved up a fair bit moreas Josh went after root, by root by root.

The top of the plant began to split apart, revealing that it was really nothing mroe then a large green head full of razor sharp teeth. Row after row of the blood-stained knives jutted from green gums in the plants mouth. It came crashing down furiously, attempting to devour the two boys.

Whisper quickly threw off the root that was holding him and Josh cut off and ran, "let's get out of here, I ain't no meal for a plant!" Whisper yelled at Josh.

"I have an idea." He wanted to get swallowed, then burst out. A simple enough plan depending on how the chainsaw handled. He thought that everything was fine when the chainsaw stopped. "Nevermind, then." He dropped it and booked for the garage. Could he crash through the door, he would.

So I'm returning there, Whisper thought as he followed Josh and he held the hammer tight as he didn't want to loose it if other strange things would come.

The garage was filled with tools and spray cans. The only hope you two have is that some of them are weedkiller...
The plant charged, it could probably fit it's head into the garage and devour the two people.

"I think we should go through that door and ask some fire creature I met earlier for help," Whisper told Josh as he walked to the door.

"THAT surely changed the odds!" He opened the gas tanks of the chainsaw, and splashed a little at the head. It only made the hideous thing more flammable; just in case it wasn't.
